You need a 60fps screen recorder that can capture your every activity on screen smoothly without compromising quality and fps drop. Most gamers agree that FPS running at 60 or higher can give a better gaming experience. Generally speaking, the higher the frame rate, the more vivid and smoother quality you will get in game, animation, film etc. so this seems to be more a broad issue and not just OBS.FPS, the abbreviation of frames per second, is the frame rate or frame frequency which means each second of the video shows how many distinct still images. Okay so now im having the lag and choppy across chrome as well while watching a twtich stream. is my CPU somehow no fully running or something (not technical talk i know). when im in game or on OBS my CPU is only ever at 25% tops never going above. but only sometimes.Īs well when i go to the portions that lag OBS if i tab back to OBS its smooth as ever and no issues it only gets laggy/choppy once i tab off to my primary monitor i was playing fortnite the other night and randomly obs started getting laggy/choppy when i would tab back into the game. but when i go to like a major city and run around obs seems fine and has no lag issues. this is where it gets weird the game plays out smooth when in game and obs is on second moitor until i hit a certain area in the game then obs cries and goes laggy but my gameplay is still fine and fps holding steadily around dipping to 40fps here and there. Okay so for now i am testing while playing World of Warcraft. went back to 4k resolution on primary and now its acting weird. I changed my 4k monitor to 1080p to match my secondary and obs isnt having any fits. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I have looked far and wide to the best of my abilities and cannot seem to find anything helping my situation. I am not able to figure out this issue and it even affects OBS recording abilities when not activley on OBS in my second monitor. But soon as tab back into game on my 4K monitor obs gets laggy and choppy. When I am on my second monitor looking at obs the game runs smooth looks great and no issues at all.
